My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to

Or is this just my texture of hair and I cant change it? Should i be proud?

My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to look??????

Are you kidding. Most people want thick hair. Get a good cut that will help it look its best. Condition it daily, and be proud. You will not be able to alter the texture of hair.

My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to look??????

it's probably just the texture of your hair a lot of ppl with thin hair wish they had thick hair or you can co to a beauty salon and have them thin it out for you

My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to look??????

Yes but maybe if u style it different maybe not.

My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to look??????

find a good asian hair dresser (they totaly just come from asia, or they learn the technique there), they should be able to help you to do some smooth, not chungky, thinning with you hair.

you cant change the texture of your hair, but "japanesse straightening" or usually called "rebonding" will help to smooth out the texture.

My hair is soo thick even after i use the best shampoos..is this the way my hair is always going to look??????

Well, you can change the texture of your hair with chemicals (perms, straighteners and color), but you don't even have to go that far. A good cut makes all the difference--ask your stylist to thin it out with layering. Make sure you're using the proper shampoo, not just the 'best'. Look for one that says 'smoothing'. Also a frizz serum will help. John Frieda makes a few, but there are tons of other brands. Look for one for thick, coarse hair.

Can you find some good scene haircuts that I may be able to get? And also whats the best heat protecting spray? Please don't say anything about me being a poser or some crap like that because I'm not I've been wanting to get a scene haircut for a while now I'd feel more comfertable being scene then the way I am now.

thanks.

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

Well, i can try and find ya a cut ina few seconds but first to answer those other q's.

Heat Protecting Spray- Bliss, it's salon recommended and it leaves your hair soft and shiny.

Here's what you need to do aboout your "cow lick" either you can let it grow out because once your hair is long enough it'll weigh it down or you can start 'taming' it. by that i mean 30 mins. before you start actually doing your hair bobbypin the lick down. it'll keep it smooth. the hairspray it a bit and it should stay down.

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

i have the same problem!! good luck

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

i have scene hair, and my hair is the same way.

putting that many layers in it will definitely thin it out.

i really miss my hair now.

and just straighten it.

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

It doesn't really matter if your hair is thick right now because when you go and get it cut you can ask for it to be layered, or if they can use a razor to thin it out alot. And as for the wavy part, your probably going to have to straighten it either way.

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

photobucket have some ones in you type emo/scene hairstyles or go on forums/livingwithstyle.com and click on good and bad emo hairstyles they have some really great ones on there, and for the cowlick try gripping your hair in place every night before bed and this should work....

I want to get a scene haircut but my hair is thick and wavyish?

1. you HAVE to have a straightener to have a "scene" haircut.

2. thick hair is great for a "scene" haircut cause it puffs up better and looks more natural. (even though scene kids are the fakest things i have ever seen.)

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

I have been cursed with thick, uncontrollable hair as well. Mine happens to be naturally curly, so I've got the frizz thing going as well. But I know something that works great for either hair type...Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum. You can buy it at any one of your local beauty salons. You just put a quater-sized amount in your hair after you get out of the shower and smoothe throughout. It really tames hair down and adds shine. It does cost about 16 dollars a bottle, so if you're looking for something cheaper, try CitreShine. You can buy it at Wal-Mart or Walgreens and it's only about 5 dollars I think. Since your hair is really thick, it's probably good to keep it shorter so you can work with it more easily. Try choppy styles...I think those are in right now, but I'm not really sure.

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

my sister has hair just like u. she puts it in alot of ponytails and half buns look really cute with ur type of hair. if u want it wavy when u put in hairspray make sure u used defrizzy shampoo

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

there are a bunch of shampoos and conditioners that help with uncontrollable hair.If that does not work then get a hair stylist and she can thin itAbout the cute hairstyles bangs are really in this year and I think they are really cute.Good luck

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

my friend has REALLY thick and curly hair. she has it cut in a few layers and shoulder length. she says it takes her an hour to thouroughly dry it so she takes a shower around 4pm and lets it air dry, brushing occasionally. the next morning she uses a Chi to sraighten it (only bc Chi gets hottest out of all the irons she's used, so it works best) and she uses minimal stuling products, just some "smoothing serum" called Dfrizz by Bumble and Bumble. hope that helps u!!

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

try the egg shampoo at relaxdepot.com it works great. I know it sounds wierd but its great. use it with the egg conditioner also

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

lol, i feel like i answer a question like this once a day! lol ok, im not sure if your hair is curly but either way you can use pantene for women of color, it has extra moisturizers for uncontrollable hair and hair that s prone to damage and dryness. comb your hair while the conditioner is in it and then rinse it after, then put your styling products, maybe a curling creme for curly hair, a sleek creme of straight hair, gel. if your hair is curly let it air dry and dont keep touching it. t should stay close to your head- not totally flat but not poofed out! if all else fails- headbands are very much back in style!

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

Use your thick hair to draw attention to your face.

Curl it %26amp; let it go for a really naturally sexy look.

Braid it to pull back from your face or put into a ponytail. Leave some hair loose around your face.

My hair is thick and uncontrollable. How do i keep it down? also what are some cute hair styles?

layering can make your hair alot less heavy to wear down and also create manageable volume.

my advice spend the cash and go to a hair salon with a really good reputation. and get the head stylist's advice. then have him cut your hair and see how you like it.

hair will always grow back

My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly shoul

I just did this today!! Try John Frieda Sprunch Spray while your hair is wet. First, wash your hair normally then brush (or comb) it all the way through. Spray the John Frieda Sprunch Spray all over your hair and "scrunch" small areas one at a time. It comes out looking great! It will (most probably..not gaurenteed) eliminate the frizz. The scruching, even if you have a bit of frizz that day, will eliminate the look. Try it!

Biosilk works wonders!!!!!

ME TOO!!! I always use tresemme mousse and it's my hero.

My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly should I do it

You can towel dry it when you get out of the shower, use a large pick to comb through it. Then bend over, letting your hair hang freely, apply liberal amounts of mouse to the ends of your hair, then grab big sections at the root and work towards ends. Rub it in as you go, scrunch upwards, then stand normally and spray on scrunch spray, and style around your face.

My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly should I do it

I have naturally wavy hair. Use Catwalk and bio silk. A shampoo that will hydrate your hair will take the frizz away. Avoid too much conditioner because it will weigh your hair down.

When your hair is wet apply mousse or gel (use good brands. ya get what u pay for)) run product through hair, especially in longer hair and tips. lightly spray with hair spray then use a blow dryer diffuser to dry products...and shape your hair at the same time. Its really easy :O)

My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly should I do it

When you get out of the shower, get some mouse and turn y our head up side down while blow dry'ing your hair

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

Everytime I go to straighten it I blow dry it. Then I clip it up in sections because my hair is layered. The bottom layers aren't that hard to get straighten with the flat iron; even though that's where most of my curl is. The top part is sooo extremely hard to straighten and it gets really matted %26amp; tangeled. The top seems to be where all my curl goes after I blow dry it. I need help figuring out how to get the top not so messy before I flat iron so it won't be so difficult. I don't want to round brush dry my hair though because it's so thick and very laborus. So any suggestions besides that will help. Thanks!

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

Why not wear it naturally?

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part preferably to one side). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (Ulta), for your hair. Cheaper suggestions are Nature's Gate or Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores). I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (Ulta) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

put some friz serum or something in or even some suave frizz stuff will help. Use a sparing amount on it and it should help. Also, kinda of run a comb thru it will you are using a flat iron.

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

I wash my hair at night, put leave-in conditioner on it, don't blow dry it and the next morning flat iron it.

What you should try doing is getting a good straightner. I have thick wavy hair and i use the Babyliss straightner. It is the best one because on it is has a piece where it will brush it out after. It might help you on thte top part of your hair. Also what you might be able to use is a substance called Redkin. It just helps you straightin better. You should put it on the top of your hair. I don't know if it might make it look gresey though. The straightner costs about $90.00, but it works amazingly!

You need a good straightener.

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

Sedu

This is the best one on the market right now (not the CHI) and it's fairly cheap for a straightener. It's top rated on folica.com and the reviews are excellent.

Also, when you straighten your hair, be sure to put in heat protectant, and also leave in conditioner can really help.

If none of these things work fully, using products can be a big help for a finished look. I use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Straightening Mousse, and I hardly need a flat iron (though my hair isn't really curly, just wavy).

Good luck!!

If you want it permanently straight, use a relaxer ( ask a beautician to do it)
