My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly shoul

I just did this today!! Try John Frieda Sprunch Spray while your hair is wet. First, wash your hair normally then brush (or comb) it all the way through. Spray the John Frieda Sprunch Spray all over your hair and "scrunch" small areas one at a time. It comes out looking great! It will (most probably..not gaurenteed) eliminate the frizz. The scruching, even if you have a bit of frizz that day, will eliminate the look. Try it!

Biosilk works wonders!!!!!

ME TOO!!! I always use tresemme mousse and it's my hero.

My hair is thick and frizzy and I want to try scrunching it. What should I use and how exactly should I do it

You can towel dry it when you get out of the shower, use a large pick to comb through it. Then bend over, letting your hair hang freely, apply liberal amounts of mouse to the ends of your hair, then grab big sections at the root and work towards ends. Rub it in as you go, scrunch upwards, then stand normally and spray on scrunch spray, and style around your face.

I have naturally wavy hair. Use Catwalk and bio silk. A shampoo that will hydrate your hair will take the frizz away. Avoid too much conditioner because it will weigh your hair down.

When your hair is wet apply mousse or gel (use good brands. ya get what u pay for)) run product through hair, especially in longer hair and tips. lightly spray with hair spray then use a blow dryer diffuser to dry products...and shape your hair at the same time. Its really easy :O)

When you get out of the shower, get some mouse and turn y our head up side down while blow dry'ing your hair

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

Everytime I go to straighten it I blow dry it. Then I clip it up in sections because my hair is layered. The bottom layers aren't that hard to get straighten with the flat iron; even though that's where most of my curl is. The top part is sooo extremely hard to straighten and it gets really matted %26amp; tangeled. The top seems to be where all my curl goes after I blow dry it. I need help figuring out how to get the top not so messy before I flat iron so it won't be so difficult. I don't want to round brush dry my hair though because it's so thick and very laborus. So any suggestions besides that will help. Thanks!

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

Why not wear it naturally?

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part preferably to one side). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (Ulta), for your hair. Cheaper suggestions are Nature's Gate or Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores). I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (Ulta) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

put some friz serum or something in or even some suave frizz stuff will help. Use a sparing amount on it and it should help. Also, kinda of run a comb thru it will you are using a flat iron.

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

I wash my hair at night, put leave-in conditioner on it, don't blow dry it and the next morning flat iron it.

My hair is naturally curly. It's not kinky but it is really thick. Straightening help!?

What you should try doing is getting a good straightner. I have thick wavy hair and i use the Babyliss straightner. It is the best one because on it is has a piece where it will brush it out after. It might help you on thte top part of your hair. Also what you might be able to use is a substance called Redkin. It just helps you straightin better. You should put it on the top of your hair. I don't know if it might make it look gresey though. The straightner costs about $90.00, but it works amazingly!

You need a good straightener.

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

Sedu

This is the best one on the market right now (not the CHI) and it's fairly cheap for a straightener. It's top rated on folica.com and the reviews are excellent.

Also, when you straighten your hair, be sure to put in heat protectant, and also leave in conditioner can really help.

If none of these things work fully, using products can be a big help for a finished look. I use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Straightening Mousse, and I hardly need a flat iron (though my hair isn't really curly, just wavy).

Good luck!!

If you want it permanently straight, use a relaxer ( ask a beautician to do it)

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

People have told me to shave my daughters hair so that it would grow back thick. Is this true?

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

omg no....shaving does NOT change the molecular composition (thick/thin) of ones hair.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

I've never heard of this...it sounds kinda weird. My husband shaves his head and it never grows back thicker. I think nature should just take its course.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

thats awful!

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

NO!!! That is genetics, not something that will change by shaving!

Where do people get this stuff?!?

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

NOOOOOO I could think of nothing worse. There is nothing nicer than feeling that soft wispy baby hair on your cheek, when they're sitting on your lap. Little trims will keep it at a short length until the rest of her hair catches up. Then it will start to look thicker. Please don't shave it.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

Not true,

Would you jump off a bridge if a few people tell you to?

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

this is a common misconception. the reason it appears to grow in thicker is around the time parents think to do it, the child is then growing up and hair type is going from baby hair to childrens hair. Baby hair is the very fine limp hair normally curly. Childrens hair is still finer then adult but is alittle thicker and more managable.

Shaving it does not do this. Its a natural change between ages 2-5

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

shaving doesn't work like that. people think it does mostly because before girls start shaving their legs their hair is soft but once they start it becomes prickly and dark. the phenomena is due to puberty; when a girl starts shaving her legs it is usually because her leg hair is become dark and coarse. What I am trying to say is that shaving has nothing to do with texture or thickness of the hair growing back.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

I agree with everyone else. I have thick hair and I HATE it. I feel like it is a curse more than anything.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

had twin daughters that were BALD until they were two,,,they are grown now, and have thick beautiful waist length hair,,,,,have patience, it will come in as she grows,,,,,don't do a thing but wait....

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

Ok, I wouldn't shave her head, she's girl. However, I know everyone says it doesn't change the hair texture (it doesn't) BUT many youn babies hvae very fine hair, and my boys did...I shaved their heads (summer time) and when it grew back it was much thicker and not fine anymore. Now my daughter had fine hair and it's very thick and full too, but I never shaved it.

My point is, it'll change over time...so let things be the way they are!

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

I was told placing a piece of brown paperbag on my son's forehead will make his hiccups go away.

shave her head if you want, but don't expect her hair to come in any different than it does now.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

Doesn't do anything. Shaving of newborn hair is a tradition in many cultures including Japan. They call it 'fetal hair bow" and save it in a scrapbook or box where you save other keepsakes. There is no thicker growth though.

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

Who ever is telling you this garbage just do NOT know what they are talking about!!! Please, do NOT shave your daughter's head! That's just being stupid. Let your child have the hair of a child and stop worrying about it!!!

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

i wouldn't do that just let nature do it over time the baby hair will fall out and be replace with thicker hair, my two year old had really fine fine hair at birth but now its just a big mop

Did u shave your babygurls hair so it could grow back thick?

shaving makes hair thicker

My hair is like thick and poofy?

cut you hair in long layers and put serum (anti frizz)

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

Would a straight perm do me any good considering I dont have curly hair? What about a relaxor?

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

Look into buying some shampoos that are specifically made to help frizzy hair. The Fructis line is very good for this. I've also found it helpful to buy a leave-in conditioner spray and keep my hair (which is the same way) braided overnight to minimize the frizz.

The chances of you having pin straight hair without going to a salon to have it professionally straightened are slim, though you can purchase straightening irons for very little and these will give you temporary results without the damage caused by chemical relaxers.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

A relaxor would be good if you want it straight forever. It's very difficult to get your hair back to being curly after you've used a relaxor. A straightener would work if you did it right.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

try straightening it

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

A relaxer and a straight perm are the same thing, and you could either try that or thermal reconditioning (Japanese hair sraightening). The latter is a lot more expensive though!

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

You should go to a hair dresser ! they'll know what to do and whats best for you!

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

okay. use a straightening iron. i do that.

also, i use the herbal essences straightening shampoo and spray. i also use a styling brush and my blow dryer. to style it it does take about 30 minutes, but it is sooooo worth it. (it might not take that long for you, but my hair is very thick, frizzy, and curly!!!)

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

Relaxor is your best bet. Then get hot oil treatments every other month. Smooth shiny hair...very sexy!

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

use herbal essense shampoo and conditioner for straight hair and then straighten you hair and use their frizzy cream so you hair isnt frizzy.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

You want dead hair?...hair isn't alive to begin with.

More like nourished or malnourished

Use a frizz controlling shampoo. Sunsilk and garnier have some good products out there that are inexpensive. Don't use relaxer, it will make your hair dull. I hope you're not just trying to go the obvious route to be like all the other dull, listless, straighthaired people. You could always use your hair's attributes to your advantage. Play up your face shape, its all about framing.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

we have the same hair!!! use a CERAMIC flat iron cause the others wont work believe me also there is this stuff made by JICIO I think thats how its spelled anyway you can get it at master cuts and prob sallys Im not home so i cant remember exactally what its called but it works wonders (like $25 a bottle though) dont do anything perminate it will damage your hair more then it would a different hair type

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

I have the same problem, and armed with my arsenal of beauty products, I can make straight hair happen! I start with a good cut - its much easier to deal with your hair when your ends are trimmed and you have layers. Then I shampoo/condition with Sleek Look by Matrix - this set kicks some serious butt. I use their Lite styling cream in my wet hair. I have heard good things about their Heavy as well, but I don't need it. Then I use a round brush and blow dryer to blow it straight.

Once it's dry, I use a flat iron and the Matrix flat iron spray to tame the wispies and frizz. This routine seems long and complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it will take you less than an hour. Good luck, and stay away from those permanent straighteners - I have heard bad things about those.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

I would do a straight perm so if you change your mind later, you can still reactivate your wave without doing much damage.

My hair is naturally thick, frizzy and wavy, I want dead straight hair... what r my options?

You have many options. They have at home straightening kits such as PhytoSpecific Relaxer Index 1 or 2, Rusk Radical Anti-Curl Relaxer, Matrix Opti Smooth, Ogilvie Relaxer. These are fairly easy to use at home.

Salon chemical straightening such as Thermal reconditioning (Japanese Straightening) is a more permanent and expensive solution. It has AWESOME results but you have to make sure your stylist is educated with the product because it can seriously damage your hair if not done properly. Also you have to retouch your roots every few months.

Another option is to use a flat iron w/ straightening, smoothing styling products. Be sure to invest in a very good flat iron like Sedu or Chi. But this option takes more time, but the results are often very good.

Depending on how much time you want to spend straightening your hair, decide which best will fit your lifestyle. But if all else fails, a good blow out and flat iron will always leave you with nice silky straight hair.

Good luck!

My hair is very thick.. its curly/wavy.. and frizzy?

are there any other ways i can make my hair thin other than thinning it .. getting layers.. etc? and how can i make my hair more wavy rather than curly?

My hair is very thick.. its curly/wavy.. and frizzy?

buy john frieda frizz ease

My hair is very thick.. its curly/wavy.. and frizzy?

Switch to Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo. It boosts moisture and fights frizz and humidity. Also, try using Pantene Pro-V's anti-frizz smoothing serum. Comb it through your hair after a shower from root to tip. Then, once your hair is dry shake your hair out with John Frieda's Flawless Finishing Creame - Secret Weapon! It fights frizz during the day and keeps your hair soft and supple. Best of luck!

My hair is very thick.. its curly/wavy.. and frizzy?

Get urself to a good hairdresser and tell her to use thinning scissors to thin your hair out a little. Its great ! Also get layers but not too short ones. Id say chin length and below is good.

Then use a good serum and apply evenly to your hair, then rough blowdry it whilst brushing with a normal hairbrush (for about 5 mins) and when its dry enough, go through it roughly with straightners. Just randomly pick thick sections and let the straightner run through them, concentrating more on the front (about 5 mins) Tie ur hair loosely into a bun at the nape of ur neck and in 10 mins untie ur hair to reveal the most gorgeous hair ever !

My hair is so thick and curly, what is a good cut?

Its below my shoulders so there is room for any idea. I just want a stylish cut that is very in and cute, and sexy all at the same time. ive had my hair cut just above my shoulder and its seems so bushy! do you think if i had it thinned it would frizz? i love my curly hair but would like it to be tame and stylish not a frizzy bush!

My hair is so thick and curly, what is a good cut?

I have the same problem with my hair. If you have curly hair, chances are it's probaly a little frizzy already. I get layers in my hair and get it thinned out at least once a month. The layers break up the bushiness, and when you thin it out it will take away some of the volume in your hair. I also razor cut the front hair that frames my face and have a side bang that blends in with the hair. The cut works for curly or straight hair and is easy to maintain. Hope this helps.

My hair is so thick and curly, what is a good cut?

well you can alwaiisz get a nice perm or whle takiin a shower comb out ur hair rite den as soon as u get out blow dry it rite den get gel an gel it back into a little sexii puff lolsz
