altho i love straight hair but m afraid that they will get damaged after rebonding..i want to know if it will spoil the texture of my hair and make them thin and also if my hair will be as healthy when rebounding loses its effect..
Hi..i am 18..and i am thinking of getting my hair rebounded..i have thick n healthy hair shud i go for it?
Perhaps, you mean 'rebonded'? I tried a few searches on yahoo.com to educate myself on hair rebonding and found several sites. Most were confusing and appeared not to be legitimate.
I found that the common information about hair bonding was the use of chemicals to straighten the hair. It's a chemical treatment to straighten the hair which is obviously, a reverse effect of a permanent wave to curl the hair.
If you have "virgin" hair, which is hair that has no chemical treatments from root to tip, and your hair is in good to excellent condition it might hold up well to the procedure. No chemical treatments means that no color, bleach or other chemical processes have been applied to your hair.
It's a wise decision to educate yourself by asking here for advice. Take the time to visit or call hair salons in your area that provide the service and interview each one. Make sure to get an appointment when the salon is the least busy. If you choose a busy time, the stylist can get distracted and your hair will pay the price of an over processing disaster.
Ask your friends and co-workers if they or someone they know has had the treatment, who performed the service and if they were pleased with the results.
The process of hair bonding can be dangerous if performed by a salon that isn't experienced or if their staff is distracted by working on too many clients at a time. So, do your homework before taking the plunge.

If I had thick healthy hair, I wouldn't do it. Just leave it the way it is.

i have thought of that for so many times already, i'm 16, i have thick healthy hair and i just wanted to rebond it just like everyone else...but as i've asked around,like real experiences from friends;
1. it doesn't always result well, you need to find a very good salon
2. you need to maintain it, its not just a one time thing
...i think you can be prettier with just other things that won't be too risky and expensive...or if you're just bored,just get a new hairstyle;p

If you have an oval shaped face then dont go for a change.I wish to tell you that straight hair speak of a dazzling personality. It leaves a lasting effect on the one you love. This suits you the best. But if your face is round (circular) then probably you may opt for this change.

No, i don't think you should do it.
Personally, i've rebonded my hair countless times. It is really a big commitment to rebond your hair as you have to maintain it well which requires a lot of money too. And since you have thick hair, the hair salon will probably thin your hair, which is really a great waste. However, if you really want to do it, make sure you go to a good salon. (=
