straighten it a lot but with the really good straigtners daht dont damage ur hair and keep straightnin it almost everyday ull notice its less thik and start falling out but if somethin happens like ur hair gets shorter or somthin stop straightenin it and just get a perm

go to a professional-- they can thin your hair for you, make it much less thick. and if you desire a perm, or straight they can help you out with that too.

if you can't afford to do that, you should call a local beauty supply store and talk to someone there-- those girls have been selling products for hair for years, they know what they're talking about-- and ask for their advice. I like sally's beauty supply, they always have informative people working there. if you don't have one in the town you live in, no big deal just call to another town, they're all over texas i know.

You need mega moisture. So look for shampoo and conditioner with alot of moisture and straighenting serum. The CHI line makes a good one. Its called INFRA TREATMENT. If there isn't the CHI line near you, go to your local sally's and try Loreal's nature's therapy mega moisture line. Make sure you put a straightening serum in your hair to before you dry it and use a flat brush.

But one of the most important thing to use is a straightening iron. CHI makes a good one. You can straighten your hair and you can't even tell how thick and poofy it is. This is worth the investment.

FYI- Don't wash your hair everyday, its bad for thick poofy hair. Wash it no more than 4 times a week.

you could get it cut in layers to make it look thinner, and put a little bit of mousse on your hair when it is damp. I hope this helps
