Seriously, does music (Or certain genre of music) help grow long, thick, luxuriant hair?

I wonder if there IS a connection, after watching all those lovely music videos my friend loves to post...as against the Science which can leave a pate quite shiny? Is it a boon from the muse of music?

Before certain possessive gentlemen philosophers start protesting against my question's legitimate place in this category, let me tell you all, this move of mine is deliberate. You may think it trivial but I feel there's more to it than meets the eye (literally).....So, ponder a little and post.

Well that explains all the long-haired musicians in the world鈥?Perhaps we should go into business marketing singing shampoo bottles--I think we could make some good money. ;-)

Did you know Einstein said he would be a musician if he were not a physicist? He said, 鈥淚 often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music."

Perhaps all brilliant people, all seekers of Truth, walk the same avenues. I鈥檝e said it before: I don鈥檛 think the effect of music is describable. That elusive Muse will never be captured on film or paper. Music reflects us inward, projects us into the world, defines us, changes us, softens and strengthens our resolve. It鈥檚 truly fascinating that a little rhythm and harmony can express everything that is complex, everything that is inexpressible in Humanity. If you say it grows our hair, I鈥檒l agree, and add that it curls it as well. :-)

But let鈥檚 not guess. We鈥檒l experiment. Tell me if you detect a change:

P.S. PLEASE don鈥檛 let those 鈥済entlemen鈥?philosophers get your hair out of place! We have enough problems with the *YAmster* and don鈥檛 need anyone else trying to run this little wheel. Frankly, I was FAR more entertained by the "What is the meaning of Life?" spam than these constant "What is the meaning of the philosophy section?" outbursts. Really--it's only Yahoo Answers! Either take it or leave it (and when I say 鈥渓eave it鈥? I certainly don鈥檛 mean *you*, my friend).

LOL @ wow--now all we need is your credit card number.

%26lt;I%26gt; -- I *LOVE* "Wonderful Tonight"--probably the best of Clapton. BTW, have you seen the "translated" version of that Indian Music video? Tube it. I would link, but I don't want to get Param flagged... Report It

Oh you have a translated version too? Now you have me interested!

'Wonderful Tonight' really is wonderful. Do you think his voice rasp a little? Even then I'd like someone to croon in my ear like him...hmmmmmm. Report It

Excellent question to which the answer is YES, music certainly helps grow long, thick, luxuriant hair... in my groin. Music, you see, has always been close to organs other than my heart. Many thanks for your explanation.

YES, it definitely can - just check out the long, thick, "luxuriant" hair on those gorgeous ladies. It MUST be the music, cause it sure as heck can't be "them" moronic acting, Michael Jackson wannabees! :-)

Please let me in on this research. I myself have a Cesar ring of hair on my head but am very hirsute on the rest of my body. Not that I mind though I have had many years to get used to the idea. I shave my head in the summers for comfort and grow it in the winter for what little warmth it affords me. Your theory is very interesting though. I have widely ranging musical tastes and was wondering (per your theory) just what music did this to me and what music could possibly reverse the effect. I have to think that when I was losing most of my hair was when there was a lot of Disco and Micheal Jackson flooding the airwaves. Could this be the culprit or was it the massive amounts of Sabbath, Zeppelin, Deep Purple and various others that I listened to at the time. I was also into the Outlaw Country stuff, maybe that is the culprit.

Do I need to listen to more (so called) Longhair music like Beethoven, Brahms and such. Please keep me informed of your research and I may even be able to submit to some testing at some point in the future.
