a cute cut would be to razor it out (make it slightly thinner towards the ends), cut it right below the shoulders and put some layers in it. slight bangs would be nice too.

It really all depends on the shape of her face. For example, if she has a longer face then she should get bangs to make it seem shorter. If she has a short face then bangs arent a good idea. But in general I think layers are a good look for every face type. Just have her find a picture of a celebrity or someone with hair she likes and have it cut like that =)
