What is ythe best staightener i can get form a salon for long, thick. wavy hair.is it affordable?
I have very long thick curly hair. First of all you have to use the right product to get that sleek look. Its not always about the straightener. I use Color Vive shampoo, then I use this Smooth Intense masque by Loreal. I put it on at the beginning of my shower, and take it off last. Makes your hair sooo silky. Then I let it towel dry for about 20 minutes and then I use, Dove's "intense frizz control, for very dry or thick hair. Mostly on my ends. Like if you take your hair like you're going to put it in a pony tail. From the ponytail holder to the ends. REally concentrating on the ends. Then I use a round brush and blowdryer. Sometimes my ends are still a little frizzy but if you take a curling iron and just flip up the ends or run the curling iron over them it gets rid of that. If you want to use a straightener then I'd get a ceramic one. At least a 2 inch one if you have thick long hair otherwise it'll take you forever. This chemical combination between shampoo-antifrizz cream works for me, and the products are cheap to buy all the time. Of course this might not be best for you depending on if you have color treated hair or natural. may put too much moisture into your hair. But try that Lorea masque I mentioned its a god send.

I am not sure if you are talking about a flat iron or a chemical straightening service. If you are talking about a chemical service, I reccomend anit-curl. It can range in price depending on the area you live and what they charge for your hair length and texture. In our salon, that service would run about $160-$200...
This is a permanent service so you would have to come in to get your regrowth retouch every 4 to 6 weeks.
