I have dry,thick,frizzy,poofy hair, help!!!?
I TOTALLY understand.
I have the exact same hair as youu!
This is what I do:
I take a shower and whenever I feel I need it I use a conditioner that I leave it for 2-5 minutes. Wash it out as usual. I mostly use a coconut shampoo %26amp; conditioner. Or sometimes I just use a 2in1 for those rushing days.
When I get out I spray a leave in conditioner that helps protect your hair from heat. Its those ones with grape oil or something and you mix the two solutions. (It's white at the top, blue at the bottom) I got mine from KMS.
I straighten my hair, because no matter what, I hate my natural hair. If my hair is still dry and crunchy, I add in some coconut oil. I also read from Bobbi Brown that Sesame Oil works as a hair treatment. Don't use too much or else your hair will look too oily and greasy. Straighten your hair until you are comfortable with it.
If you are going to a party: Got2b has a product in the styletini line called Glazed Over to use before styling to protect your hair from humidity on the dance floor. [Used%26amp;Recommended]
Split Ends: Got2b has a repair reconnect hair silkener also in the styletini line called Tipsy - Root 2 Tip Silkener [U%26amp;R]
Damaged hair: Got2b also has a Hottie line to turn your damaged hair into stylin tresses!
For Shine that blinds: Got2b styletini after hours - laminating shine hairspray
For touching up: If you ever have a little poof in the middle of your day try Straighten Up, Anti-Poof, or Anti-Frizz in the Sunsilk Creme Line. [U%26amp;R]
I also heard from Seventeen that you should spray hairspray in your hair then straighten. But it never really works for me that well. [U%26amp;R]
And if you're feeling daring about your hair, instead of getting rid of the waves in your hair, encourage them! Try Sunsilk Hydra Creme into your hair to get rid of the extra poofiness. It's the pink one. Not recommended for the dance floor! [U%26amp;R]
My recent project is to cut my hair just past my shoulders and get clip on extensions.
You can also go to the salon every month or so for Hair treatments. they can be as low as 10-15 dollars min. [U%26amp;R]
IF YOU ARE DESPERATE: Go to the salon for a Japanese Straightening System also known as Chemical Relaxers. They can be 50 + money wise. And it can last for a long time! It can damage your hair so if you go down this road be sure to condition your hair and give back what the chemicals took.
Wow that was a mouthful.
But I'm trying to help as best as I can!

try a renewing shampoo that resrores hairs natural beauty. also try letting your hair air dry for a few weeks. frizzy, use some moose in your hair while its still wet and try some de-frizz cream. also use misturizing shampoo and dont be afraid to use conditioner. its ok to have thick hair just try to keep it to a good length, usually past the sholders works. and for poofy, just learn to tame it brush it twice a day at least make sure you get it trimmed every 8-10 weeks to keep the ends from splitting or having dead ends. also use a ceramic straightner it keeps your hair safe.

I have the same hair and it breaks too, just buy relaxer and you can try putting gel in it or moisterizer, thats what i do. and if you straighten it alot before you straighten it put in this straighter cream from Loreal Paris called hot straight and don't blow dry it so much it just make it worse just let it air dry!

The best thing I could recommend is "Kerphix" by "Nexxus". Use a tablespoon if your hair is long a teaspoon if short. Distribute the product evenly through out your hair and place a plastic bag over your hair; heat an old towel in the microwave and turban it around your head let cool and rinse with cool water. Repeat once a week.
It may take some time to get your hair back into condition. Please be patience.
Do not condition your hair more than once a week if you do you will run the chance of turning it to mush.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years,
Hope this helps.
