I relaxed my hair (cost bout 200$) it worked a little bit but my roots are still reaaaally kinky. my natural hair colour is golden brown and right now I dyed it black. any suggestions on shampoo's, conditioners, leave-in's ect. Note: I dont do well with herbal essences stuff

As a stylist I would like to recommend to you the Mizani line which is formulated for hair like yours. It's very good when you blow dry and straighten and gives sleek results. I use it on my customers who have kinky hair. Also Redken's align works just as well. The key to blowdrying naturally kinky curly hair is to taking sections and pulling the roots straight and concentrate on the roots first . You should invest in a really good flat iron. I have heard that the Chi brand is amazing! Be prepared to spend upwards of $100 though. Also, I have yet to try it but I hear Aussie products are good. Finally, Nexxus is really expensive but it is on the high (quality that is) end of hair care products. Next time you get a relaxer shop around! There is no reason to pay $200.00 for a relaxer.

i have wavy frizzy and thick hair too.

this is what I use

-Enjoy Luxury Shampoo (sulfur free) comes in a pink bottle

-Enjoy Instant Reconstuctor comes in a white bottle

when I get out of the shower

-Redken Milk cream comes in a small white pump

then I brush and part my hair

-Enjoy Palmade comes in a yellow pot container I run it evenly through my hair.

and then sometimes i will dry it on a low warm setting

its a tad expensive but it lasts and it works

My all time favorite hair products are by sexy hair concepts. Try Curly Sexy Hair, they have a bunch of products that should help, you can by them at salons. Also Curl life by Matrix has some good products.

As for straightening, look for a salon that does CHI straightening. It's more permanent ( you'll only have to touch up your roots every few months the rest will stay straight), they have their own product line and it's a little less harsh on your hair.

I wouldn't recommend over the counter hair products as they are mostly wax and water. Use a professional product designed for curly hair, it'll help the most.

just spray onto dry hair before flat ironing it.

I had really really bad frizzy hair but then I got a CHI iron and it helps you get really close to the roots of your hair.Once you use it over and over, your hair practically straightens little by little. PROMISE. my hair drys straight now. OH and for frizziness use Catwalk-Camera Ready! Its great!
